The Avery Dennison Foundation
Through the Avery Dennison Foundation, we advance the causes of education, sustainability, and women’s empowerment in communities where Avery Dennison employees live and work. Much of the Foundation’s investment is driven by Avery Dennison employees, who also donate their time and expertise, extending their spirit of invention and innovation to help solve local problems and serve their neighbors in need.
In 2019, the Avery Dennison Foundation made grants totaling $940,949, bringing the amount of its grants since 2010 to approximately $9 million. Additionally, the Foundation has sponsored volunteer activities across 46 countries, where Avery Dennison employees live and work.
One of the Foundation’s primary programs is grantmaking, which supports community-based organizations working in our three main areas of focus:
Grantmaking in education provides funding for educational improvements to elementary, secondary, post-secondary, and/or vocational schools, and it focuses on learning in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and in graphic and visual arts. These grants fund direct services to populations traditionally underserved because of gender, socioeconomic status, or geography.
The Foundation’s grantmaking in sustainability provides direct support for projects that conserve the natural environment and contribute to the social, environmental, and economic well-being of communities.
Grantmaking in women’s empowerment provides direct support for projects that address gender equality, equity, and opportunities in Avery Dennison communities.
